ReMain Nantucket is dedicated to strengthening the lasting economic, environmental, and social vitality of downtown Nantucket, while preserving its unique character and spirit.

Combining the creativity of a think tank with the energy of an advocacy organization, ReMain is committed to supporting the evolution of a healthy, year round community on Nantucket that flourishes in its iconic downtown.

By supporting resourceful thinking and objective research aimed at strengthening downtown Nantucket's future, we are building on the Island's own traditions of independent and innovative thinking, adding expertise from a worldwide network.

We have been focusing on these aspects of the transition Nantucket will make in the coming century:

• RE-thinking Transportation: We encourage increased use of public transportation, alternative modes of getting around the island and improved access to downtown, especially in the busiest months. We enlist experts to help the Island develop smart and strategic approaches to its challenges, and to recognize its opportunities for positive change, particularly in the transition to reduced carbon emissions.
